KGF digital, satellite rights sold: Yash starrer KGF: 1st Chapter is turning out blockbuster at the box office. For the first time in the history of Sandalwood, the content originally made in Kannada is gaining viewership from the audience across the nation. Now according to the latest update, the makers have soled out the digital and Satellite rights of KGF in record price.
The digital streaming rights of KGF have been reportedly sold to Amazon Prime. Although the makers did not reveal the exact price but according to the latest buzz, Hombale Films has earned Rs 18 Cr from the sale of digital rights, which is the highest ever amount paid for a Kannada movie.
After the mammoth blockbusters Baahubali films from Tollywood, 2.0 from Kollywood, the Kannada industry saw the release of their magnum opus KGF: Chapter 1. It’s Hindi version, was facing tough competition from Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero but finally KGF emerged winner.
KGF (Hindi Version) earned Rs 2.90 cr after the successful run of 6. The trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter, “#KGF shows solid trending… Day 6 is higher than Day 1, which indicates that the positive word of mouth has come into play… Fri 2.10 cr, Sat 3 cr, Sun 4.10 cr, Mon 2.90 cr, Tue 4.35 cr, Wed 2.60 cr.
